From CPAWS: “This month, we are exploring Ottawa’s Greenbelt including Stony Swamp. With a diversity of habitats including mixed forest, wetlands and open fields, it is one of the most biodiverse areas in Ottawa. As a result, the area supports a variety of wildlife, including birds, mammals, amphibians and reptiles. Boardwalks offer great views of the surrounding wetlands, while some educational panels illustrate the biodiversity and history of the area including the lime kiln ruins.”
