The WOCRC is hosting the Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) fundraising walk on Saturday, February 28th! CNOY is a family‑friendly community event held in Kanata that brings neighbours together in support of the essential programs we offer. Thanks to last year’s fundraising efforts, we were able to:
- Support nearly 200 families through our Holiday Hamper Program
- Stock our emergency food cupboard and provide essential gift cards to individuals in crisis
- Launch an initiative promoting family nutrition and breastfeeding support
- Provide start‑up support gift cards to women transitioning from Chrysalis House toward safe, stable housing
- Enhance dementia‑focused activities in our Adult Day Program through innovative technology
There are a number of ways you can support:
- Start a team and recruit walkers
- Encourage others to join the event as walkers – our General CRC team would love to have them
- Share our promotional materials and spread the word!
